Courageous Grieving Support
with Melissa Bowers

Find your path to healing

My beloved,

As a bereaved mother and grief educator, I am here to compassionately guide and support you through this impossible time.

I know that when you lose someone you love, your life suddenly changes forever.

You are left alone, struggling, feeling completely broken, and wondering if you will ever feel good about living again.

Even when surrounded by well intentioned family and friends, it’s important to feel heard, to be supported, and to really connect with someone who understands, so we are comfortable sharing our deepest pain.

Love Is Forever – Share Your Heart+Story

Sharing your grief is an act of love. Your relationship with your loved one continues through your shared stories and cherished memories. As we move through our grief journey we will find new ways to continue our relationship and to honour our loved one ♡

INSPIRE is a heart centered community that holds a sacred space to compassionately support you as you navigate your grief, inspiring holistic healing, hope and growth, one day at a time. Melissa shares how being able to meaningfully connect with others has been one of her most treasured pieces in her grief journey. You will be guided to find understanding, peace and love in your own grief journey.

You are not alone, our heart centered community is a private and sacred space to connect and share your heart+story with people who understand and “get it“. Share your story and become emotionally honest as you allow yourself to feel your feelings, release painful memories, heartache, regret, and any feelings of blame and guilt. While you are encouraged to share your heart+story, you may also choose to just listen and that is perfectly ok.

Melissa holds the yogic perspective that we are whole as we are, so even if you feel broken it is important to remember that you are not broken.

Navigate your grief your way. Even though grief is a deeply personal path, we can find tremendous comfort and healing in our shared connection. Together we will take small yet meaningful steps towards healing each week, being gently guided to navigate and better understand grief together, as we explore mindful self-compassion practices and self-care rituals. You may be new to grief, or grieving a decades old loss, knowing that you are supported in your grief journey will help you to get unstuck and find your path to healing.

Please feel welcome as all our groups are lead with lovingkindness. This is a safe space for us to support each other in sharing our deepest thoughts and feelings. We are often at our most vulnerable when sharing about the death of a loved one, please bring a willingness to listen to others, and be prepared to give & receive kindful attention.

It takes courage to share your grief, to share your story and your pain ~ sometimes it takes courage just to show up each day. Each week we support each other as we share our heart+story and connect with others, with an intention to move towards remembering with more love than pain. You will be encouraged to contemplate a HeartCompass weekly question that inspires your personal growth towards healing, as well as being able to ask Melissa your most important questions.

Being supported in your grief journey will inspire you to grow your courage and resilience as you move forward to create meaning in your life and in the life of your loved one ♡

Your wellbeing is so important as you navigate this devastating time in your life. You will learn to carry your grief without being overwhelmed, showing up for yourself with a gentleness and grace so that you can tend to your feelings with compassion and lovingkindness. Integrate grief, mindful self-compassion, and self-care rituals into your life ~ breathwork, healing guided meditations, inspiring videos, and mindfulness practices infused with spiritual teachings.

The healing power of words. We will explore writings from spiritual teachers and luminaries including Adyashanti, Brené Brown, Pema Chödrön, Deepak Chopra, Paulo Coelho, Baba Ram Dass, Hafiz, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Krishnamurti, Kristin Neff, Mark Nepo, John O’Donohue, Don Miguel Ruiz, Rumi, Sharon Salzberg, Michael Singer, Eckhart Tolle, Allan Watts, Marianne Williamson …

Spirituality is simply the path of the heart. ~ Marianne Williamson

Experience heart opening Grief Yin Yoga practices which inspire a deeper connection to yourself and your loved one as you gently move into your body awareness to help calm the body and quiet the mind. Melissa teaches you to understand the direct relationship between emotional stress and physical symptoms in your body and why it’s so important to integrate the wholeness of your love and your pain. Each practice has 9 nurturing postures set to music for emotional release, followed by a healing guided meditation.

Compassionate Guidance & Support

We are a grief avoidant and grief illiterate society that often expects us to “just move on“, and unresolved grief can affect every area of your life. Your grief deserves your attention and mindful presence for you to fully grieve your loss. Melissa holds a sacred space for you to attend to your grief, as she guides you to be present to your feelings and to open your heart and listen to what it has to say ♡

Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom.
Rumi

My most heartfelt thankyou to Melissa for sharing such comforting and healing words. Sometimes her group session was the only thing I had to look forward to that week. To know that she really cares has inspired my grief journey.

Irene

Thank you for your compassion and wisdom. In my time of need, I was connected to Melissa through a close friend. I have slowly been able to process some of my feelings around my grief. Being able to share my story with another parent who has lost their child has helped more than I can say. Thank you Melissa from the bottom of my heart.”

I have attended group meditation sessions with Melissa for nearly 10 years, and recently private grief mentorship. She has such a calming presence and intuitive nature. Melissa has been a light in my life, at a time when I thought I was all alone, she reminds you who you really are, she is curious, asks questions, and then guides you to find your way. If you are ready, you will experience a new life perspective with Melissa.
