Participation Waiver

Please read and sign below. This grief support group is a safe space for us to support each other in sharing our deepest thoughts and feelings.

We are often at our most vulnerable when sharing about the death of a loved one, please bring a willingness to listen to others, and be prepared to give & receive kindful attention. While you are encouraged to share your heart+story, you may also choose to just listen and that is perfectly ok.

INSPIRE membership sessions are group conversations around the death of a loved one. All sessions with Melissa Bowers are considered coaching or mentorship and are not therapy or group therapy. Melissa Bowers does not accept insurance. No online discussion should be used to replace professional help if that is needed.

INSPIRE Group Membership Confidentiality:

Whatever is shared within the group is to remain confidential. Share with others outside the group only what you have learned about yourself.
Group sessions are not recorded in order to respect the privacy of all.
Members are forbidden from recording group sessions in any way.

INSPIRE Group Membership Guidelines:

Remember that we lead with lovingkindness, please give everyone who wants to share a chance to talk.
We are here to witness each others grief, we do not give advice or tell others what they should do. If you want to share something with someone, please kindly ask if they want feedback before giving it.
You are expected to have your video on and microphone muted until asked to share.

INSPIRE Group Membership Self-Care in Emergencies:

We want you to get the help you need in an emergency. We are not setup for self-harming or suicidal thoughts.

If at anytime I have self-harming or suicidal thoughts I will let the group leader know and or contact my personal therapist or doctor or local authority. In Canada and the US please call the Suicide Crisis Help Line #988 available 24/7 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room. Elsewhere please use your search engine to get immediate help or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
